This chapter, emphasizing experience in the chemical industry, provides more precise insight into how the Transatlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) in particular has acted as a crucial catalyst for regulatory convergence. It comments on the notion of the TABD, its progress, and its prospects from the point of view of the European chemical industry, a perspective shared by the American chemical. New paper examines narratives of statelessness and political belonging among Kurdish diasporas in Sweden and the UK; New book examines role played by human mobility in making states in sub-Saharan Africa; New paper examining return migration to Senegal and Democratic Republic of Congo published in .

  "The transatlantic community should elevate democracy assistance within the transatlantic relationship, including the necessary financial resources for this effort." The conference, held March , was organized by NDI and hosted by the European Parliament. The dialogue began in June with an opening conference in Washington, D.C.
